Considers that Mr.
Caine is properly
Entitled to the
passage money aforesaid of the Colonial
Regulations to an
outgoing Governor
of a
Colony,
namely one half of the allowance granted to the Governor on first appointment, which in the case
of Hong Kong is £8000.
I am therefore to request that you will move their
Lordships to sanction the payment of
the sum
of £4000
to Mr. Caine on this
account.
