Chinese Doctor has been already decided in your Despatch 137 of 1st April 187413/00, which I have acknowledged in mine to.
And 698 of 1st Instant I have only to repeat my belief in the propriety of allowing Chinese Doctors to proceed in charge of their own Countrymen.
With regard to duration of voyages, I submit that the Imperial Legislature has laid down a rule on this point, it is not competent for the Colonial Council to make alterations.
