In my humble opinion nothing more is wanted in Criminal cases. This Supreme Court and the Executive of this Colony are invested with full authority to deal with such cases and it requires no ordinance of this Legislature to give force to such authority.
It also appears to me that Her Majesty under the Above Act has full power to grant order in Council. Is the Supreme Court such as is given appellate jurisdiction to this Council? If the Queen has power to erect tribunals in a foreign country and give them powers for Enforcing their decisions, I cannot see how Her Majesty cannot grant a right of appeal from such tribunals to her courts or any of them she pleases. As that Appellate court will only give its decision, I cannot see what necessity there is, in such a case for, or what benefit would arise from, the interference of this Legislature.
