Not only does it seem likely to find a suitable successor as Chief Magistrate, but also to consider what amount shall retain him in the service of the Colony. It is, however, a situation that is filled with difficulties. That the opportunity of getting higher income is more rare.
I am ashamed to candidly recall the events of the Colony for excusing "secessions" for better pay & better prospects. On the contrary, I think it is rather a matter of congratulation that there are further prospects & attainments, & that in view of local oppression are not hentaich limited to the narrow circle in which alone they are very narrow.
Mr. I Munite is uned hastrable in circulating this again. We can place particulars of salary, etc. of the office.
