I trust some permanent measure will be taken to put the Judicial department in a state of efficiency, and that should St. Blaine retire from Service, no time will be lost in filling his post. In the meantime, supposing an Attorney General to arrive it would be desirable your decision should be communicated as to whether Mr Green is to be thereby displaced from the Bench, and the Attorney General appointed thereto.
