Mr Attorney General Chisholm Ausly has been suspended from his office, and that suspension was confirmed by Sir E. Lytton; in which confirmation I have expressed my concurrence.
I understand that Mr Davies (whom I mention, not as in any way personally implicated in these charges, but as having taken part in the Caldwell inquiry) has also left the Colony.
Mr Mercer was absent from the Colony during the greater part of these transactions, with which he is equally unconnected.
Largely, Dr. Bridges is mixed up with them, but that gentleman is no longer in the public service.
