Soon after

LR.:000 in aid of the "Funds of this Colony,

this Colony, and I was officially placed in possession of a part of it by Lord Stanley's Dispatch, No 92 of 22nd March

1843.

But it seems to have been

printed by order of

the House of Commons in explanation

of the Estimates for the year ending 31st March 1856.

I wish respectfully to point out the possibility of serious

inconvenience

that may

arise

from omitting to notify to the Colonial Government that documents

important in relation to it

have been published for general

information. In this case no

inconvenience

has occurred,

but I take the liberty

of calling your attention to it

and to suggest the desirableness

of furnishing

us

with

copies of

"any documents which Her Majesty's Government may have seen fit to lay before Parliament in reference

to the

"Funds of this Colony".
