As regards the matter of detail to which Mr Foth's attention has been called, I hope his communication will be satisfactory. He seemed to feel that some imputation was flung on his character by Mr Merivale's strictures, but I read them as merely intended to call for explanation of what was obscure, by no means to impugn his personal honor.
