In acknowledging your letter A240 of the set-Ins., I have the honor to inform you that the Lieutenant Governor has been pleased to direct that the £22.17.3 paid by you under the head of House-rent, for the last quarter, be refunded to you, and that you are permitted to live in your Office, rent-free, in accordance with the Colonial Secretary's letter N°39 of the 25th January 1845, to the approval of the Home Government.
