have the honor to inform you
that the requirements of the Public service render it necessary
to convert into a Civil Hospital the Bungalows now and hitherto used as the offices of the Surveyor General and Marine Magistrate.
It has long been in contemplation to remove your department to a part of the town more convenient for those whose avocations compel them to resort to it; and, accordingly, it has been arranged that the Eastern rooms on the ground floor of the fourth House shall be set apart in future to this service.
The Surveyor General shall be directed to place himself in communication with you on the subject.
