I hereby certify
1st That the above leave was granted to Commence on the 2nd Day of July 1857 And again on the 20th of October 1858, on the ground of urgent private Affairs.
2nd That Mr. Julius C. Power has served the Crown for Eleven Years, and two days.
3rd That in the course of that service he has been absent on leave on several Occasions, at the dates and for periods Specified below; viz.
In the Year 1848. – 14 days. 1849-14 days. 1850- 11 days. 1851-12 days.
1852-16 days.
In the Year, 1853-54 - One Year Six months and 22 days, beginning on the 10th March 1853 And ending On the 4th October 1854. 1856. One month.
In the Year 1856.
4th. That provision has been made for the due execution of Mr. Julius C. Power's Office of Accountant and Clerk of Deed Registr, during his absence by the appointment of J. Scott - The duties of Marriage Registrar will be discharged by the Revd. Arthur Gaylor.
