with reason, only served 2 months in the Colony, after 12 months leave, he now asks for 6 months extension. In point of fact
his leave, expiring on the 29th, he may be said to have already relinquished his Office.
But if a
more merciful view is decided upon, then it is to be hoped that the Rev. G. C. Armistead - the Chaplain of
the
Naval Hospital at H. Hong Kong, whom Mr. Irwin has asked to officiate, may be able
