The object of the proposed Bill is to prohibit the Carringe of Chinese
bruigrants to Foreign Countries in
British Ships
that any
and the Bill provides
British ship which is
Emigrants
employed in so carrying such Ciniquits
shall be forfeited
and that the persons
who hire and the persons who let -
the Ship for the purpose and the
Master and
Officers of the Ship
shall be guilty of a misdemeanour
