to Mr. Ayland, late Postmaster of Hongkong, fell upon "Mr. Williams Chapman - This Gentleman has

been at the head of the Postal Department here vince the departure of Mr. Hyland for England

in October 1855, and as

he has given general soticfaction to the Public in the

: performance of

his duties, I felt no hesitation in appointing him to the

vacancy in questions . ___
