a gazetted Officer, I have the honour to state that I have received a letter from Mr. Mena A..., Expressed his inability to comply with my application for this increased remuneration which I find to be absolutely necessary for my Support. I beg you will request of His Excellency to accept my resignation of the Office which I hold from the date of this Communication.

In addition to the circumstances stated in my letter of the 31st ultimo before referred to, which form the main and actual cause of my inability any longer to hold my appointment with justice to myself or to the public Service, I think it right again to repeat what I stated at the interview with which His Excellency honoured me upon Saturday last, namely the extreme and painful difficulty I have experienced in holding official intercourse with Her Majesty's Attorney General owing to his very irritating and dictatorial demeanour and language towards me, whilst devoting my undivided energies to the faithful discharge of my most arduous duties.
