Mr Bridges has stipulated that he be not expected to resign his practice as a Barrister in the Supreme Court, and to this I have agreed as I do not consider continuing his professional pursuits an insuperable objection to his appointment when many other considerations strongly recommend the proposed arrangement.

Your Most Obedient Humble Servant,
