Measures are even now in preparation for the apprehension and removal of the squatters in neighbourhood, the Police Force has been considerably augmented by the kindness of His Excellency Admiral Guerin, an armed body of French Marine, composed of 30 men with 2 howitzers will take night duty at East Point until further notice. They will land this evening at 5 o'clock under an officer, whom His Excellency recommends to your care.
A small party will remain during the day in charge of the howitzers. His Excellency requests that no time be lost on receipt of this in making necessary arrangements for the reception of the French Marine.
