At the end of the Coast Point, Bazaar where Most shots have been non-rented for their accommodation. [We think it quite essential that the removal of these people should be at once promoted. And the sheds destroyed or taken away. We presume there can be no doubt that in these very places a formidable Armed Body which lately attacked East Point were sheltered while making their preparations for attacking.]

The police force stationed in our vicinity until within the last five days was quite inefficient, and at present can do little more than protect the locality from occasional Marauders. They are quite incapable of dealing with any large organized force.

To obviate the danger of any attack from a reckless body of men, which we think by no means an unreasonable apprehension when the amount of Property accessible to them is considered, and further to assist us in the improbable event of incendiary fire, we have to request such arrangements by making due arrangments with the Senior Naval Officer as may ensure the stationing of a vessel.
