With reference to M. Elliot's letter of 7th Instant, I am commanded by the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury to acquaint you, for the information of Mr Secretary Labouchere, that they are not aware of any objection to remittances to the Colonial Agent, on account of the Colony of Hong Kong, being made through other channels.
