will be supported in resisting British Ship in Chinese waters

2. The proper course for Consuls
to take in order to bring a vessel so seized before an Admiralty
Court will be, in the first place,
to save her in person, and
forthwith, either by themselves,
or by some competent person, secure all the Ship's Papers &
any
written
or other printed or
documents or letters, of whatsoever
kind
which have
any bearing on
the matter
