I am directed by the Lords of the Committee of Privy Council for Trade to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 9th instant, transmitting by direction of Mr Secretary Labouchere, for the consideration of their Lordships, a copy of a Despatch from the Governor of Hong Kong, and an Ordinance No.9 of 1856 entitled "An Ordinance to explain certain Enactments relating to shipping".
