60 In reply to your letter of the 5th instant relative to the cost of the passage of James John Hickson to Hong Kong at the Contract rate: I am commanded by the Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to acquaint you for the information of the Secretary Labouchure, that it is usual in these cases, first, to allow payment to be made out of Naval Funds, and then to reclaim the amount from the department which requested that the passage might be ordered; this course it is proposed to follow in the present instance, and the amount will be reclaimed from the Colonial Office.
