Steam boats of the "Lostoli" just acquaint you, for the information of the Secretary's Laboratory, that they are of the opinion expressed in their letter of the 25th July.
I am further to acquaint you that the Commander-in-Chief of the China Station has called attention to the possibility of piracy on the part of this Magistracy, and to the necessity of using every exertion to put down piracy in the litoral sea; & that two very successful actions have recently taken place.
