it's deliberations cannot fail to be received with universal satisfaction as in part Meeting the desires of the community this point Your Excellency reproaches the Community for want of readiness in attending the sittings of and giving assistance to the Police Commission, and it is with regret that we have to mention that while the principle on which your Excellency has hitherto been pleased Commissions, fails, from the fact of containing only Government servants, in rule, to institute obtaining the full confidence of the community, the Report of the said Commission the result of whose labor has not yet been made public evinced a misrepresentation of evidence, so generally felt to be such, that an extreme unwillingness has sprung up on all sides, (and still pervades the community) to attend before Commission similarly.
