I have the honor to inform you that Despatch has been received by the Mail announcing the decision of the Secretary of State for the Colonies on the subject of, and the Attorney difference between yourself and the General in May last.
This decision has been made known to Mr. Anstey, and I am directed by His Excellency the Governor to forward to you the following extract from his reply in acknowledgment:
"I have to express to Mr. Hulme my regret for the unbecoming language, which I admit it to be, as having used the language respecting him referred to in the above Despatch".
"The Despatch alluded to by Mr. Anstey is of course that from the Secretary of State"
