As regards the item of £13, this does not concern Colonel Trine but his son Mr George Caine of the Geographical Department, and in explanation of its non-recovery here, I enclose Copies of letters to and from the Secretary to the Superintendents.
I have also to note that the total of the sums shown in the margin of the despatch under reply should be £76.6.- and not £77 as given.-
