Merivale stated also that he was directed to refer us to the Act 9 and 10 Victoria cap 1041, amending the Australian Waste Lands Act, and to the borucils referred to in Order by the Com= that we missioners, would favor your Grace with our ofcision whether the enactinent con-tained in Section 24 of this local Act is void by reason of its interfering with the appropriation of lands belonging to the Crown, for any of the reasons suggested in the above report or otherwise.
In obedience to your Grace's commands, we have taken the several documents transmitted to us into our consideration, and have the honor to report that we are of opinion that the enactment contained in the said section of the said local Act is void, by reason of its interfering with the revenue of the Crown.
