impossible to procure the requisite attendance during stated Seasons. Where however the trial could be brought on during the sittings fixed by Ordinance it has been done.

Whether chambers should be at the Judge's residence or at the Court House is of small moment and concerning the personal convenience of the profession alone.

I have never found it so inconvenient as stated by the Attorney General - to extra expense is incurred by clients who would doubtless authorize such rather than not have the opinion of the Judge, on whose judgment the whole Colony relies.

I am happy to say that I have not suffered in health by reason of my visits, pretty frequent, to His Lordship's residence, nor though I have been upwards of three years in the Colony was I aware that the residence is notorious for insalubrity.

With regard to the time of opening the Court for sittings I think that noon is the best. My clients and myself find the hour most convenient. Better preparation can be made, evidence collected &c. thus preventing the necessity of repeated adjournments.

No such interposition as is stated in the Attorney General's letter...
