Regina & Mitchell. The trial of this misdemeanor ended last night with a Verdict of "Not Guilty", under the following Circumstances.
A long speech from the defendant's Counsel (Mr. Day) entirely offset the prosecution's case, consisting almost entirely of a review of the official correspondence in the case, and the conduct of The Honble. W. J. Mercer, Colonial Secretary.
