upon a Warrant issued for his appre-hension by the Marine Magistrate, Captain Martin, Royal Navy, being repoved to they a summons previously served upon him, to answer a charge preferred against him by one of his crew, such assault having been alleged and afterwards proved to have been committed, within the limits of their harbor on the night of the 27th of June last. The summons issued thereupon the Chief Officer refused to obey and to "follow orders from the Consul"! A Warrant was then issued by the Marine Magistrate, for his apprehension, and upon that Warrant he was placed at the Board of this boat on the 3rd instant at about 2 P.M. I may mention here that the assault alleged bore upon its face, in the first instance, such an appearance of unprovoked violence, that Captain Warth thought it advisable to remit it to the Court of Petty Sessions, attending to allow a Justice of the Peace to take part in its adjudication.
