I have the honor to enclose an application from Dr. Dempster the Colonial Surgeon for an increase of his salary from £200 to £300 per annum.
I have already in Despatch No. 119 of 26th March last reported my conviction that the present arrangement for carrying the duties of Colonial Surgeon is unsatisfactory,
