It would materially tend to the comfort, cleanliness, and salubrity of the Town, if advantage were taken of the present abundant supply of water. This should be distributed into separate branches, and rendered available for consumption, the docking of shipping (well into the sea) and cleansing as well as enlarging the Town. The establishment of such water works for the shipping at this moment, would immediately repay the outlay.
With regard to the future appearance, regularity, and convenience of the Town, it may be well worth the serious consideration of those under whose immediate management it may rest, to secure the grand outlines of the probable extremities,
