I have also considered the state-ments made mi pps. - cition to the plan to CL ne letter addressed by Mr Darct, and I have had the advantage of a report from the Colonial Land and Emigration Commissioners to whom I referred your despatch and the accompanying documents.
I do not find in the objections stated to the plan any sufficient reason for believing that injustice will be done to the holders of Marine Lots by carrying out the measure proposed by you, and there seems to be no room to doubt that it will conduce to the present and future advantage of the Town and of the great majority of its inhabitants.
