whether it is His Excellency's pleasure that I should take

proceedings, as Attorney General, against the late sheriff, Mr. Mitchell, in respect of the alleged exactions in the Size Prisoners Case. The late criminal sessions came too suddenly after the discovery to permit a few information for the misdemeanor.
