In acknowledging your Letter 140, in which you state that the sum of £22.17.3 was paid by you under the head of House Rent, for the last quarter, I have the honor to inform you that the Honorable the Lieutenant Governor has been pleased to direct that the £22.17.3 paid by you under the head of House Rent, for the last quarter, be refunded to you, and that you be permitted to live in your Office, Rent free, in accordance with the Colonial Secretary's Letter S. 39 of the 25th January 1845, subject to the approval of the Home Government.
