Treasury
an
assurance that the Revenue affairs are being brought gradually into order; but as the Colonial Treasury is naturally anxious to be relieved from the duties of this Commission as soon as possible, I beg to call attention to the
conclusion
quoted, and to request that on
the recurrence
of the
expected vacancy
no time be lost in appointing M. Rienaecker's Successor, on the
salary of £800 a
year, as proposed
in paragraph 17 of my Despatch
of 4th
September last.
