Sir,

Colonial Secretary's Office, Victoria, Hongkong,

14th May 1856.

I have the honour to enclose a memorandum, shewing that the sum of £18.3.9 has been paid in by Mr. Rienocker into the Commissariat Chest, for transmission to Her Majesty's Treasury in London.

It appears that the two Intestate Estates of Usher and Hill should have been struck out of the list forwarded 7th July last. If you can refund this money...

For the Colonial Secretary,

Charles Williams, Esquire,

Deputy Commissary General.
