Mr. Gower presents his compliments to His Honor the Chief Justice and states that he certainly did not perceive anything in his conduct at this dinner of the 18th instant, that might be deemed intoxication.
But at the same time Mr. Gower feels much embarrassed in being referred to in regard to what passed at the Governor's table
