In reply to your request I feel much pleasure in being enabled to state it to be my firm belief that the serious charge of inebriation on the night of the 13th Just which has been preferred against you is without any foundation whatever, but on the contrary the whole tenor of your conduct at His Excellency's Table was deserving of the highest respect from all who were present.
