In reply to your note, of past date dark, referring to the proceedings at the Governor's table, where you were one of the guests, on the 13 Instant, and requesting my opinion, whether you appeared in any way intoxicated on that occasion. I have no recollection of an circumstance having occurred, calculated to support such a rumor.
