with reference to the need of apology which in His Excellency's judgment ought not to be conceded on the report of the referees.
That His Excellency objects to substitute conjectures as to what passed at his conference - that he has reason to believe the Executive Council would not consent to sit in judgment on the matter.
That he must therefore have himself and the Attorney General to take such measures as they deem necessary, and that all communications henceforth must be made officially through myself as Colonial Secretary.
