I have the honour to request His Excellency's attention to the great embarrassment occasioned to the administration of Criminal justice in the Supreme Court for want of a proper officer to exercise the function of Attorney for prosecution.
There have occurred, at every Criminal Session since my arrival in the Colony, acquittals of prisoners upon trial, postponement of trial from Session to Session, adjournments of trial after arraignment.
