the conclusions of the luminosity regarded Lee Alvor. He was an inhabitant of the Mainland; he brought his wife and family to settle,

and rented a house/linise in the village where the crime had been

committed, only ten days after the outrage. He was in complete safety in his native place, and would not have thrown himself into the mouth of danger, had he been involved in the crime. Being a stranger to the forensiter, the evidence of his identity in the night and amidst the glare and the confusion was by no means satisfactory, especially as most of the other prisoners being familiarly known to the sufferers. The evidence on Lee-Alone's presence

was outweighed in his mind by that of the Alibi - the evidence of his wife, being one of the interested form of the Alibi, was rejected by the Court.

The Governor expressed his strong conviction of the innocence of Lee Alvor, and desired that this conviction be recorded in the Minutes.
