Ah Siu, being sworn, says, — I am a grass-cutter in the employ of Mr. Goddard. I sleep in a different room to the Coach-house, but in the same stable. Whut has to pass through my room to get to his now. I locked the stable door at 9 o'clock P.M., and kept the key. The coach-house keeper kept the key of his own room. I slept in my room on the night of the 1st January, and Whut slept in the coach-house with Mr. Fung. Mr. Wong was being sworn, soups — I am acquainted with Whut. Have been so for 37 years.

Speaks as to good character of Whut.

Wong Ahling, being sworn, says — I have been in Mr. Maclean's employ for 7 years. Muir witness also gives Whut good character.
