Remarks.

1. Spirit Licenses : Chinese Applicants for the sale of Samshee increased in 1854, and the Duty raised from $100 to $108 per annum, but payable in monthly instalments.

2. Opium Farm : Discontinued from 1st August 1847 produced £335 per month.

3. Auctioneers : On the abolishing of the Auction Duty Licenses, renewed; from $100 to $150 per Annum

4. Salt and Stone Licenses are, annually offered for Sale by Public Auction, for One Year commencing 1st September each year.

5. Boarding Houses for Seamen. Established in November 1852.
