will perceive that the net surplus at the disposal of Government at the close of the year amounted to £19,874.7.394, of which £15,077 have since been deposited with the Oriental Bank Corporation, bearing interest at the rate of Six per cent per Annum. I am unable to state how much of this surplus will be required for the various Public Works now in progress or which will have to be constructed, such as others.
