Population. Regulations according to which permission shall be granted to the Native population of Java and Madura to play Games at hazard.
Art. 1. By application, a permission shall be granted by the local Resident to every well reputed Native, to hold a gambling table for the play of Poo and Toplo, upon payment in ready money, for every day of 24 hours stipulated in the permit, of f 150 if at Batavia, Samarang, or Surabaya.
f 100 if at any other provincial capital of Java and Madura.
f 50 if at any bazaar beyond the limits of the four capitals of Java and Madura.
Art. 2. Such permits shall be printed or written on a Stamp of fl. at Batavia.
