Before a record crowd the V.R.C.-Y.M.C.A. swimming team de- feated the Combined Chinese Clubs by the narrow margin of 14 points to 10. Features of the fete were the thrilling finishes and the closely contested races.

The Combined Chinese had bad luck in being disqualified in the women's free-style relay. Had this not happened the meet would have been in their favour by 13-11.
