Ceremony At The Treasury: 35 Years' Service

A very pleasant ceremony took place at the Hongkong Treasury yesterday afternoon when MR. WONG SHIV-KI, head of the Book- keeping Branch, was the recipient of a Rolex wrist-watch and fountain-pen sel, and the good wishes of his colleagues, on the eve of his retirement after 35 years' service.

Mr. Wong joined the staff of the Treasury on May 11, 1906, as a fifth grade clerk when he was just under 23 years of age. his twenty-third birthday-July 13-he was appointed a fourth grade elerk, remaining in" that position until July 1. 1913, when he was prumoted second grade clerk.
