BASEBALL SEASON OPENS TODAY

Governor To Officiate At Traditional Ceremony

Today is the big day for local baseballers, as at 3 p.m., HE. THE - GOVERNOR, SIR GEOFFREY NORTHCOTE, opens the season with the traditional ceremony of throwing in the first ball, to start the U.S.S. MINDANAO and the HB. CLUB in the first official hard-ball game of the year. Also expected to be present are H.B. the General Officer Commanding, Major-General A. E. Grasett, Commodore Cas- sidy of the U.S.N. and Mr. H. E. Bruins. Acting U.S. Consul-General, whose presence contribute to giving baseball the biggest send-off in local history.
